This
painting was done from sketches of an old abandoned
homestead on the edge of the Strzelecki Desert. It
appeared the lease holders had walked off the land
leaving everything to crumble. The old fence no longer
kept out stock. The chair wouldn’t support the
weight of a person anymore. None of the windows had glass
in them. Everything had the colour of the desert except
the raw blue sky.
