Once again it's that time
of the year when I bury myself in the studio and become absorbed with my
end of year exhibition. This years exhibition is called "Travels with
My Paintbox" and is a mix of work done on location and paintings
inspired by various locations and painted in the studio.
The 10 minute DVD lessons have been a huge success - Thanks
everyone for all the great feedback!
Happy Painting, and have a
great Christmas and New Year,
John

TECHNIQUE DEMONSTRATION
SIGNING YOUR WORK
Hi John,
Here's a question for your next Newsletter: Is it OK to sign a watercolour in pen? I
have rather a long name, and it seems to overpower the painting when done in
watercolour, even though I use a fine brush. I would value your opinion, as some of my
artist friends throw up their hands in horror when I mention signing in ink.
Keep up the good work with your CD's and studio workshops!
Yours truly,
Brenda Sutherland

MOOLOOLABAH WORKSHOP
October 2004
Mooloolabah was a great workshop. There were 22 people and we all worked
with 1/2" bristle house painting brushes.

Once everyone overcame the initial fear of these ugly, ragged brushes, it
was great fun. Everyone came away with a much freer, more confident approach
to their painting.
