What is splashing paint?

Splashing paint is a DVD packed with over two hours of information and demonstrations, guaranteed to rapidly improve your painting skills. It is your key to loose, confident paintings filled with atmosphere and character. Starting with basic skills for raw beginners and working through to advanced techniques for experienced painters.

Not only do the demonstrations show you how to do the paintings, they also encourage you to take the skills you have learned and mesh them with your own way of painting.

What's on splashing paint?

There are 16 complete step by step demonstrations. Each demonstration guides you to a finished painting you'll be proud of. They include demonstrations that will:

plus a range of other subjects focused on the importance of:

- Extending watercolor with different materials

We take a close look at all the different tools and materials you will need to create vibrant, exciting paintings:

As well as all this there is a whole chapter on setting up a studio. Whether you work on the kitchen table or have a large studio space, there are many things to consider to enable you to produce your best work. Things such as:

- Optimizing your work area
- Lighting
- Storage
- Framing

- Documenting your work

Is splashing paint suitable for me?

The range of complexity covered by the demonstrations means that, no matter what your skill level, there will be plenty to satisfy you. Splashing paint covers all the basic skills to get a complete beginner started, then moves on to much more involved techniques to suit the intermediate and advanced painter.

How do I get the most out of splashing paint?

Watch the demonstrations, gather the necessary materials, then watch the demonstration again pausing your DVD player as necessary to complete each step.

You can also print out the work sheets through the link at the top of this page. They contain images and tips to help you through each of the demonstrations.

What materials will I need?

To complete all the demonstrations on splashing paint only requires few tubes of paint and four or five different brushes. You will be shown exactly how to mix all the colors from the basic range of major colors. The DVD inner sleeve lists all necessary material for each demonstration, as do the worksheet printouts.

Will splashing paint work on my equipment?

Yes, splashing paint will work on all PAL and NTSC DVD players. It will also work on a Mac or PC with a DVD drive.
