In 1993 John Lovett held an Exhibition called “From The Ferry”. It featured 35 paintings based on Sydney Harbour, a subject Lovett has been captivated by since he first started to paint 30 years ago.

“By the Water” takes a fresh look at some of his favourite areas of Sydney Harbour as well as a variety of other subjects based around light and water. The reflections of Venice, dramatic ocean squalls and the rivers and wetlands of Northern Australia all add up to make this a memorable and exciting exhibition.
